This was our double combo-combo set-up for the Cuss 'Skopo' exhibition held at the Goodman Gallery Project space ( Arts on Main ) last...errrr I don't remember actually but ya, that's the one. We bust a young experimental set with the random gadgetry that seems to follow us everywhere we go and 'sgubhu' drum from Kwa Mai- Mai.

We wrote a song promoting 'Skopo' as a delicacy for everybody to enjoy. Traditionally 'skopo' is eaten by men, but anybody can dab at it in the urban environment because all it really is, is food this side. Lyrics went something like:

I don't know how I got sucked into the Air Jordan quicksand, well it was inevitable, I saw it coming for a long time now but I simply couldn't resist when it hit. My first pair was the Air Jordan 8 'Aqua' and I gave them away a couple of years back because I thought my feet couldn't get used to them, but all I had to do was wear them in. I can be toss at times but we all smart momparas right? Oh, it's just me? Ok zharp.

I got re-introduced through the Jordan V 'Wolf Grey', I call him 'Wolfie' or 'ODD FUTURE WOLFGANG KILL THEM ALL' because the inner lining is so easy to dirt even with fresh daily clean socks, putting them on is the problem. They also seem to kill anything or anyone you may encounter when put in the best combos. While I was still beasting over the Wolfies, I came across the all-black leather BIN 23 Jordan Vs and I was floored literally. While my jaw was getting used to the floor the universe shut my face up with the next best thing, the black colourway in nubuck. The drawcard was the colour and the red Jumpman tongue tab corresponding with the red in the lace-locks. Thank the lord for Nike's Tinker Hatfield and Michael Jordan.
Now, I don't claim to be a sneaker collector but I am a sneaker head. If you know me, then you will know that I have been stuck on running technology for a while now. I never really understood Jordan heads, I never understood why they would only see Jordans and how other shoes are pretty much non existent to them. I would like to say, I finally understand but you dudes are doomed if you think Basketball technology reigns supreme. I'll have you know that technology is pretty much sampled across the board nowadays. The Jordan V sits on a Air sole unit for example. Imagine all the running shoes you've overlooked with technology you will never ever experience in your life! Oh! You don't care, I guess it was all about the Jumpman from the start to you then. I am all about technology, I guess I am a different kind of street animal, I like practical gear, fuck the brands!

This opgooi doesn't change the fact that the Jordan Vs are my favourite shoes right now. I really loved it when it was boxfresh and all matte black cat looking, I have probably used up a quarter bottle of Jason Markk trying to get it back to that exact black. The 3M reflective tongue and the clear gum soles are ajust too shambeez... what the hell the whole thing is genius. This shoe has actually turned me onto the black suede Carvela loafer, can't wait till I tell you all about that.

A big shout out to Scotchisdope for giving us a chance with a remixed collection. Last night gave me a big boost in confidence, we will keep creating products till we are able to offer good quality.

OKMALUMKOOLKAT'S KOOLHUNTING KLUB II

This is the grafik for the OKMALUMKOOLKAT'S KOOLHUNTING KLUB'S second collezioni. I don't know how I got to the final grafik. It started with an old Falcon artwork I had made, then it became two Falcons flying in opposite directions then it reminded me of a mask. I started googling masks and nothing came off that but then the next element was the calabash and that took it back into a mask and then turned the mask into a bull with flying falcons for eyes. The crown had to be there to tie it all together and emphasize on the importance of the bull with flying falcons for eyes. In fact, you need to respect the bull with flying falcons for eyes. This is a mythological creature of some sort, it also could be heavenly. Hope your enterpretations aren't as filled with mystery and wonder as mine.

Basically, there's no deep background story behind this grafik, it came about in exactly the same fashion as the first grafik. I let the Holy Oxygen flex through me and stuff comes out. I generally like creating mythological visuals so it's a win win. The grafik embroidery also sits nice on the new range of denim waistcoats. I also decided to shorten the name to OKMKKHK ( Yea, I know, I still haven't been able to memorize it myself... )

Will hopefully put up the shoot on Thursday night. Hope you smaak them. It'll also be an honour to see you at the pop-up store launch on Friday, you do not know how much that'll mean to me. Oh, you don't? It''ll mean a lot.
